Supporting people with developmental disabilities has been an important part of my life since my brothers epilepsy diagnosis in 2009. I quickly met other children with disabilities whose families needed help caring for them. I was 18 years old and not certified, but I knew right away that I was meant to care for others. I grew up with these kids and now they are adults and their parents are getting older. Currently, my husband and I share our home with an active, 21 year old man who has severe autism. He requires 24/7 supervision and has been denied placement in two different adult day programs. This website is the beginning of my business plan to create an inclusive, recreational, non-nursing home like place for him and others.
